Job Description

Minimum requirements: Matric A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is advantageous Proven experience as a Legal Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting/bookkeeping role, ideally in a law firm Knowledge of legal accounting principles, including trust accounting and client funds management Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for client accounts, including trust and general ledgers Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and invoicing Reconcile bank and trust accounts regularly to ensure accuracy Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for internal and external audits Ensure compliance with legal accounting regulations, including the handling of client funds Collaborate with attorneys and other staff to track expenses and assist with budgeting Perform other bookkeeping duties as required in a legal environment Consultant: Danielle Fortuin - Dante Personnel Johannesburg
