Job Description
Description: Operational Duties: Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty drinks to standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of café, equipment, and work areas. Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash-ups and banking. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Management Duties: Supervise and motivate staff to deliver excellent service. Schedule shifts, delegate tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Train new staff on service standards, product knowledge, and equipment use. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste. Track sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong coffee-making and barista skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Leadership and team management skills. Cash handling and basic financial management. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Requirements: Previous experience as a barista (minimum 12 years). Supervisory or management experience in hospitality preferred. Knowledge of specialty coffee trends and brewing techniques. Food safety or barista certifications advantageous.
