Vehicle System Engineer

Accountabilities Define Electrical high, medium and low voltage Train architecture Define Train Control and Monitoring Architecture Define Train Performance with the support of simulation tools Develop Vehicle Functional Requirements Define Systems on board interfaces Prepare the Vehicle Test Specifications Support for performance and functional tests of the vehicle Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of the basic concepts of RAMS disciplines is an advantage Knowledge of the main regulations relating to on-board systems in the railway business Ability to interpret electrical drawings, pneumatic drawings, system specification software specifications and mechanical drawings Knowledge of electrotechnical, electronic and system engineering Knowledge of the main communication protocols and network architectures Preferred knowledge of Norms and Standards applicable in the railway Preferred knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) Knowledge of main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.) Knowledge of requirements management process and tools (IBM DOORS) Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, with constructive and practical ideas Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects Availability for short-term national and international business trips Desired Skills/Knowledge Ability to manage and plan assigned tasks independently and in a team Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (internal customers, suppliers, customers, partners) Planning and organization Willingness to stay up-to-date with technology and industry practices Strong business acumen and technical skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment Education/Qualifications Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Vehicle Transportation Engineering or equivalent Languages Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
