Join to apply for the Quality Assurance Supply Chain Engineer role at RINA RINA is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Supply Chain Engineer to join its office in Napoli within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division. Mission : We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supply Chain Engineer to join our team on a consultancy basis. The role involves supporting supplier quality management activities across Italy and Europe for a leading client in the space and defense sector, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and minimizing risks of non-quality in complex supply chains. Key Accountabilities : Support the supervision of technical and managerial activities with key suppliers, fostering quality improvements and cost reduction of non-quality. Lead and facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) with critical suppliers to ensure timely and effective resolution. Conduct supplier audits and process qualifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards and effective risk management. Drive the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methods to new and existing products and processes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage non-conformities through quality tools and reporting systems. Prepare progress reports and quality performance indicators, supporting continuous monitoring and improvement initiatives. Education : Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Qualifications : Degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in quality assurance within aerospace, defense, or similarly complex industries. Solid knowledge of AS9100 Rev D / ISO 9001:2015 standards and familiarity with NADCAP certification processes. Proven expertise in supplier management, auditing, and problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, FMEA). Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive results across multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare clear reports in English. Proficiency in MS Office and quality/statistical tools (e.g., Minitab); experience with ERP or QMS systems is a plus.
