Overview Senior Project Engineer - Climate Technology Solutions role at Baker Hughes. Our Climate Technology Solutions team focuses on bringing innovative clean technology to the energy and industrial space to accelerate our energy transition journey. Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for assigned projects, coordinating all technical activities to ensure project delivery meets quality, cost, and schedule targets. Act as a key interface between customer needs and engineering execution, translating requirements into actionable plans and ensuring alignment across technical departments and suppliers. Manage technical aspects involving engineering partners, including subcontracting and construction activities when required. Contribute to feasibility studies, basic and FEED studies for new energy initiatives, and support the development of complex proposals requiring multidisciplinary engineering input. Drive a customer-focused approach and ensure excellence in project execution. Coordinate all engineering functions and departments involved in the design process and ITO offer preparation when demanded. Apply and promote best practices such as FMEAs, design reviews, and technical risk management. Collaborate with functional managers to define and achieve realistic and ambitious project goals. Manage intellectual property and technical knowledge within the project scope. Qualifications BSc. or MSc. in Chemical, Mechanical, Energy or Nuclear Engineering. Strong experience in a technical role. Proven experience as Project Engineer or Engineering Discipline Coordinator. Experience in Oil & Gas / Energy / Heavy Industry applications for machinery and plant solutions. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities. Fluent in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of IET products and solutions is advantageous. Work Requirements and Environment Location: Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
