SQL DBA - L2 - 3 month contract - Onsite

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, integrity, security, and availability, while supporting development and business teams with data-related needs. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases. Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. Perform regular backups and recovery procedures. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On, Log Shipping). Manage database security, roles, and permissions. Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture and procedures. Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and support application performance. Implement and maintain ETL processes and data integration workflows. Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with data governance policies. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly. Qualifications Matric and Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field Proven experience as a Database Administrator with SQL Server. Proficiency in SQL Server setup, configuration, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization. Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
