Job Description
Qualifications & Experience: Minimum: Grade 12 / Matric (with Mathematics & Science advantageous). Preferred: Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Prior experience in hand soldering and electronic component assembly (12 years). IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610) is advantageous. Skills & Competencies: Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Knowledge of soldering techniques and handling small electrical components. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions . Quality-conscious with the ability to spot defects. Team player with good communication skills. Basic problem-solving and fault-finding abilities Key Responsibilities: Perform hand soldering of electrical and electronic components onto PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) and wiring assemblies. Assemble electrical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to technical drawings and work instructions. Inspect and test soldered joints for quality, strength, and compliance with IPC standards (if applicable). Identify and report defective components or assembly issues to the supervisor. Operate basic assembly tools and equipment safely (soldering irons, heat guns, crimping tools, etc.). Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations according to 5S principles . Follow production schedules, targets, and standard operating procedures. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) requirements. Support general production duties such as packing, labelling, and material handling when required. How to Apply:
