Job Description
Overview Business Development Manager, Europe South – Cytiva. This role is part of the commercial sales team located in Europe and will be fully remote, responsible for the Southern Europe region comprising Spain, Portugal & Italy. You will be part of the Cell and Gene Therapy Team and report to the Sales Manager - Europe, responsible for identifying, developing, managing and retaining revenue-generating opportunities for the organization through the strategic and tactical sales and support of all product and service lines. Responsibilities Identify, prospect and close new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, academic and government organizations in the assigned territory, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and yearly KPIs and goals Manage opportunity and sales pipeline data in the CRM system and use the CRM to provide accurate forecasts, delivering visibility to new revenue opportunities and projecting revenue for the quarter and year Understand clients’ visions, strategies, and organizational structure; communicate feedback to Product Management and Operations regarding new service opportunities and updates to current products, services and processes that will improve the client experience Deliver presentations to clients on the complete offering at the highest levels within the clients’ organization Develop territory and business development plans, adjusting sales strategies and tactical execution plans to generate revenue growth in the assigned territory Essential Requirements University degree in Biotechnology or Biology OR, in the absence of a degree, several years of client-facing sales experience in the cell and gene therapy industry 5 years sales experience Broad technical understanding in molecular and cell biology, with a clear understanding of biotherapeutics, including nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, CAR-T, etc. Demonstrated experience in developing territory and business development plans to expand the business and generate incremental revenue with new clients Ready and prepared to travel across the geographical area of responsibility to visit current and potential customers, including USA for yearly meetings and trainings when necessary Fluent in English; Spanish & Italian fluency is an advantage Additional preferences Experience with the unique regulatory and quality requirements for the region Remote work and other details Aldevron/Kydiva (Danaher family) supports flexible, remote working arrangements for eligible roles.
