Job Description
Based at the IVG Turin plant, the IT Plant Manager oversees all IT-related activities, including projects and application maintenance services for systems such as Manufacturing ERP, Routing systems, Warehouse Management systems, and Shop Floor systems. This role serves as the primary IT professional reference for the plant, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of all IT applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead a team of IT professionals (4 staff) and manage the IT budget, ensuring alignment with the plant's strategic goals. Actively engage with local business stakeholders to anticipate needs and translate demands into actionable IT requirements. Collaborate with IT competence centers to validate solutions and shape innovations that align with IT guidelines, standard policies, and the IT Roadmap, within budget and timelines. Coordinate activities with plant end users and key users, energize User Acceptance Tests (UAT), champion effective training, and drive adoption and continuous improvement across the plant. Ensure adequate service levels for plant IT applications and services; manage relationships with application providers, track incidents, and execute improvement plans. Coordinate war rooms and manage escalations during critical outages, involving relevant stakeholders. Serve as the primary interface between Infrastructure/End User IT functions and the plant, addressing plant-specific needs for daily operations and new projects. Coordinate requirements and solutions for IT assets within the plant, including PCs, plant-specific devices, and interfaces with operational machinery (e.g., PLCs). Oversee network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) and server room activities, ensuring seamless integration and ongoing performance. Maintain documentation for installations and changes; ensure deployments meet IT standards and plant operational needs. Manage end-user escalations, conduct regular service reviews, and maintain an up-to-date asset inventory through clear IT-plant communications. Maintain Cybersecurity standards across the plant, working with the Cybersecurity department to ensure compliance with current security protocols and industry best practices. Qualifications Education - Bachelor’s Degree or higher Experience - 5 years related experience, preferably in comparable situations Languages - good written and spoken Italian and English Preferred Skills and Qualifications Familiarity with IT processes Basic knowledge of IT architecture and standards Good knowledge of security standards and procedures General knowledge of computer hardware, network infrastructure and Cloud technologies Preferred experience in using ITIL frameworks Knowledge of key industrial processes (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality) and the systems that support them General knowledge of Industry 4.0 topics Soft Skills Ability to deal with volatile, complex scenarios. Effective communication skills at all levels within the company. Innovative thinking to find new technical solutions.
