Quantity Surveyor | Estimator (Sales Driven)

Key Performance Areas: Prepare estimates, cost plans, bill of quantities, specifications, and schedules of rates for new builds, improvements, and maintenance work. Prepare preliminary estimates for conceptual projects. Determine key variables for cost and other estimates. Interpret and understand project/program requirements. Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues. Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times, etc. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Communicate effectively between different departments on current projects and their requirements. Confirm payments, open job cards, and monitor projects through the various departments. Non-Negotiable Requirements: National Senior Certificate. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. Tertiary education Advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competency in Microsoft applications. Well-organized and detail-oriented. Ability to read drawings and plans. Valid drivers license. Product knowledge in laser cutting, structural steel, and metal work Advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
