Job Description
Duties: Leads a small team of cooks and kitchen staff Cooking for guests (20 guests when the camp is full) at 5* level and staff members according to the meal plan Presents and introduces new meal ideas Responsible for food & beverage management - purchasing, hygiene, stock management Optimal use of food stocks (compliance with budget targets) Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen Requirements: Grade 12 A formal cookery qualification At least 3 years of experience as Head Chef in a comparable position at a 5* level Familiar with the requirements of HACCP standards Puts the wishes of the guests first and is ready to go the extra mile Honest personality with integrity who likes to work in a team No hierarchical thinking Willingness to help out in other areas of the Lodge in exceptional situations Salary on offer: Monthly fixed salary Annual Bonus based on company results and individual performance not guaranteed R1 600.00 contribution to Private Health Insurance (after probation period of 3 months) Pension Plan with 7.5% company contribution of fix salary (after probation period of 3 months) Accommodation (own room & bathroom) Gratuities Uniform Meals Free wifi Working cycle: 6 weeks of continuous work / 2 weeks off, 10 days of annual leave
