Planning Manager Watford, Hertfordshire £71,000 – £79,000 car / car allowance We’re looking for a Planning Manager to join a Pre-Construction Planning team, working closely with the Head of Planning. You’ll take the lead on developing and producing tender programmes and supporting information, making sure everything aligns with contract and works requirements. What you’ll be doing Leading the planning process on tenders, producing programmes for submission. Clearly communicating plans to internal teams and external stakeholders. Ensuring programmes account for safe working methods and realistic timelines. Identifying risks, building in time allowances, and contributing to risk and opportunity registers. Presenting methods and sequences using visuals and drawings to gain approval from project teams. Liaising with suppliers and assessing methodologies. Supporting the bid team in evaluating supply chain inputs. Managing resource and cost loading with Estimating to produce commercial forecasts when required. What we’re looking for Around 10 years’ experience post-graduation in civil engineering projects. Strong analytical ability and detail-focused, with the experience to turn complex information into actionable plans. Excellent communicator, confident working with stakeholders at all levels. Proactive approach to contributing to high-quality bid submissions. Understanding of BIM and its applications. Open to new technologies, including AI, and keen to bring innovation into workflows.
