Job Title: Data Centre Analyst (Active SC Cleared) Location: Primary site Wokingham, with essential weekly travel to Warwick, Corsham, Farnborough, and Reading at short notice Contract Type: Contracting Working Pattern: Hybrid (5 days per week, with flexibility to travel at short notice) Day Rate: £425 Inside IR35 Duration: Initial 6 months Additional Requirements: Travel to office locations for ad hoc requests The Role We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Analyst with active SC Clearance to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of our data centre estate. The successful candidate will deliver technical support, liaise with key suppliers, and ensure compliance with operational processes, audits, and capacity planning. You will also provide expertise to stakeholders and drive improvements in efficiency, process, and reliability across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Ensure safe and reliable operation of the data centre estate to protect housed services. Conduct regular IT asset audits to ensure compliance and data accuracy. Maintain accuracy in the Nlyte or equivalent DCIM tool to monitor capacity limits. Manage risks and changes through the Change Control Process. Raise and manage change or incident tickets as required. Provide incident management support in line with SLAs. Represent the data centre estate in CABs, workshops, and cross-functional meetings. Validate technical designs to ensure safe housing and service supportability. Deliver data centre inductions and maintain access control records. Prepare for and complete internal and external audits. Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience Valid and active SC Clearance. Own vehicle and ability to travel between multiple locations at short notice. Minimum 12 months' experience in a data centre environment. Hands-on experience with installation and de-installation of IT equipment in data centres. Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework. In-depth understanding of electrical and mechanical systems supporting data centres (e.g. generators, UPS, cooling systems). Desirable Skills & Experience Ability to draw upon technical expertise and industry experience to advise and support stakeholders across the data centre estate.
