Multinational Oil & Gas Company - Chief Engineer / Direttore di Macchina Company A multinational company operating in the Oil & Gas industry is seeking a Chief Engineer / Direttore di Macchina . Responsibilities Manage the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring safety and efficiency. Support vessels by developing and maintaining procedures and instructions for onboard activities. Visit vessels regularly and conduct internal technical audits. Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed cost-effectively. Execute repairs and dry dockings according to maintenance plans and vessel policies. Prepare and monitor the technical budget. Collaborate with the purchasing department to source goods and services with optimal cost and quality standards. Prepare damage claims and coordinate with insurance companies for financial settlements. Ensure compliance with port state control and vetting inspections. Maintain accurate vessel documentation and database records. You will work with a Crewing Officer and a Purchaser, reporting to the Regional Technical Manager. Requirements Higher Nautical or Technical Education diploma. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience as Chief Engineer/First Engineer or in ship repair/ship management. Strong planning and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel frequently and work under pressure. Knowledge of the Italian flag and administration system is an advantage.
