TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Birmingham, Alabama, 35211! Pay Information $1,934 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: NOC (12 hours) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in critical care nursing - Familiarity with common diagnoses and treatments in the ICU Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Surgical ICU. The nurse will work on a 12-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1-2. Shift times are 12 hours during the night. The nurse will be expected to float as needed within their skillset. Every other weekend duty is required. Competence in monitoring intrabdominal pressure and managing patients with open abdomens using specialty drains is necessary. Charting will be done using Epic. The common diagnoses managed include endovascular aortic aneurysm, carotid endarterectomy, and colon resection, along with patients who have failure to extubate. Orientation hours will not be provided.
