Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Material Controller is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the flow of raw materials, resins, and packaging throughout the facility. Duties/Responsibilities: Review schedule for shift changeovers, and print box tags from PLEX ERP system Load/Manage inventory for jobs Upkeep accuracy of inventory Check each press for correct part identification and ensure that paperwork is filled out correctly for end of day production report data entry. Assist the Visual Inspector with training operators on daily routine tasks and break coverage. After receiving dispositioned D.M.R.'s oversee the sorting and reworking process for nonconforming material. Take care of scrapped parts. Enter parts into computer; expedite parts to other facilities or storage Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Follow work instructions Experience with material controls Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Assist in other duties as needed. Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking during an 8 hours shift. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to walk and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
