Position Overview As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of Islands’ technical innovation, architecting and refining cloud infrastructure to support our groundbreaking products—both client-facing and internal. You’ll design and scale microservice-based architectures, work hands-on with AWS, and ensure our CI/CD pipelines are robust. This role is flexible, suitable for full-time or part-time candidates. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, highly-available cloud infrastructure using AWS and microservices architecture. Collaborate with developers to manage cloud resources for core projects, including Frameflow, our AI-powered QA Engineer. Lead CI/CD pipeline development, ensuring seamless continuous deployment. Oversee infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and modern tools. Optimize for performance, security, and scalability as products expand into new markets. Experiment with the latest DevOps technologies to continually improve infrastructure. Qualifications 5 years of DevOps experience with hands-on cloud architecture in AWS. Proficiency with microservices, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation, including scalable IaaC with Terraform or similar. Experience with version control (Git, Mercurial, SVN), reverse proxies, gRPC, K8s, Github Actions. Familiarity with our tech stack and experience as a developer in React, Node.js, Typescript, or Python for Machine Learning. Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.
