About The Role Role: COO to lead go-to-market strategy for novel mineral-based carbon removal products across agricultural and mining sectors, and to evolve our operational backbone. You will oversee the entire value chain—from mineral inputs and field operations to the internal science engine and technology roadmap. This is a senior role where bold strategy meets operational precision to drive transformational scale. Location & Travel: Hybrid, with travel in Brazil. Language skills: Portuguese, English (fluent). Start date: Ideally Q3/Q4 2025. Key Responsibilities Define and scale a novel carbon removal product from early traction to national impact in agriculture and mining; a 1-100 leadership role requiring bold strategy and relentless execution. Lead the design and execution of a world-class ERW deployment operation across Brazil with scalability in mind. Translate carbon and climate goals into clear operational strategies and regional delivery models. Drive continuous improvement via operational KPIs, systemisation, and data-driven performance. Collaborate with the Chief Impact Officer, Head of Operations, and VP of Science to align field strategy with scientific standards and operational goals. Lead the integration of field deployment, scientific integrity, and operational scaling to ensure product-market fit. Build cross-functional alignment to ensure the product offers agronomic value while meeting carbon certification requirements; orchestrate the 1-100 scale-up journey. Oversee the sourcing, logistics, and deployment of rock powder from mine to farm; ensure compliance with carbon standards and farmer requirements. Support legal to uphold integrity in carbon reporting and environmental impact. Lead a large and growing team across Brazil and globally; collaborate with Carbon, Science, and Technology teams and strategic partners. You can be a Rock-Star if you have Core Skills & Experience 10 years of senior leadership in operations, supply chain, or agribusiness in Brazil and in high-growth or startup contexts. You have scaled something from messy beginnings to market success—ideally as a founder, GM, or CEO. You know what product-market fit looks like, and how to turn it into category leadership. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and building scalable systems from the ground up. Strong communication and negotiation skills in Portuguese and English. Key Qualities Visionary but pragmatic—able to balance long-term strategy with daily urgency. A confident, emotionally intelligent leader who knows when to listen, act, and delegate. Comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity, and rapid growth. Hands-on, humble, and willing to “get your boots dirty” when needed. Passion for sustainability, tropical agriculture, and climate innovation. Bonus Points Experience in impact-driven sectors such as climate, carbon markets, or regenerative agriculture is a big plus. Deep knowledge and network of Brazilian agriculture, logistics, or mining. Experience building strategic and commercial partnerships in Brazil, within agriculture.
