Job Description
Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 100 years of experience License: RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Critical care experience Impella and IABP experience Experience titrating drips independently ACLS certification Description: The position requires working in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call responsibilities. The unit has three cath labs, a holding area for in-patients, and a radial lounge for out-patients. There are a total of 13 RN positions and 7 Tech positions in the Cath Lab, including management. The Clientl Lounge has 5 RN positions and 1 LNA position. The Clientl Lounge operates from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The Cath Lab operates from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with call available 24 hours a day. Types of equipment used include OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, Pacers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, Cath Works, and Penumbra. The electronic medical record system is Sunrise/Allscripts, and Mac Lab is utilized. The patient population consists of adults. Typical procedures performed include left heart caths, right heart caths, drug studies, TAVR, TMVR, ASD/PFO, stents/angioplasty, and more. The best personality fit for this position is someone who is efficient yet easy-going, with a good sense of humor. Self-scheduling for call is available, typically one day a week and one weekend a month. Call starts at 4:30 PM and ends at 7:30 AM the following morning. Weekend call spans from 4:30 PM Friday to 7:30 AM Monday. No floating areas are required for this role. Scrub color is ceil blue, provided by the organization. Unit policies and guidelines will be provided.
