Production Supervisor

Hi, I'm Jérémy, a recruitment consultant at FED Manutech, specialized in both temporary and permanent recruitment for engineering, technical, and manufacturing roles.We are industry experts and we speak your language.We are committed to supporting you throughout your job search and at every step of your career.I'm currently recruiting for one of my clients, a manufacturing company specialized in the production of machinery and equipment, located in Baie-d'Urfée.We are looking for a Day Shift Production Supervisor for a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.Reporting directly to the Production Director, your responsibilities will include:* Supervising and guiding a production team to meet productivity, quality, and safety targets* Implementing and optimizing Lean Manufacturing principles to improve performance and reduce waste* Analyzing current processes and proposing continuous improvement solutions in collaboration with other departments* Coordinating daily operations to ensure production deadlines and quality standards are met* Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards* Actively participating in the training and development of team members* Monitoring and analyzing performance indicators to make timely adjustments* Collaborating closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure efficient and smooth operations* Managing priorities and resolving production issues in real time* Performing other related tasks as neededRequired Skills & Competencies* Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and mobilize a team* Excellent analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage stress and priorities in a manufacturing environment* Collaborative spirit and ability to work in cross-functional teams* Results-oriented with a focus on operational performanceProfile Sought* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment* Education: University degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Production, or a related field* Languages: Bilingual (French and English) is requiredUse of English is required for the following reasons:* Communication with North American clients* Collaboration with English-speaking partners* Drafting of documents in English* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement concepts (Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, etc.)* Green Belt certification is an asset* Experience with ERP system implementation is a plusWorking Conditions & Benefits* Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 CAD annually 10% annual bonus* Status: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week)* Benefits: Group insurance, RRSP, vacation negotiable based on experience* Dynamic and stimulating work environment within a growing and innovative company
