Product Design Lead

Description As our Lead UX/UI Engineer & Head of Design, you will be the bridge between customer experience and engineering execution. You will work closely with our founders and engineering team to build the slickest and smoothest internal helpdesk experience. The core of your work is to listen to the voice of our customers and turn their feedback into reality with meticulous attention to detail. You will have ownership over everything visual in our products, setting the standards for design and ensuring their flawless execution in code. It is your responsibility to drive the necessary projects and standards for visual and frontend excellence. Responsibilities Design & Development Implementation: Lead the implementation of visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring the highest quality UI/UX based on our designs and brand. Team Chat Experience Vision: Lead the vision for the UX and interaction patterns within team chat applications (Slack/Teams), transforming a known pain point into a delightful customer experience. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Drive frontend performance, ensuring that any visual improvements do not come at a detriment to speed or service efficiency. Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with the backend team and ensure smooth feature integration across the stack. You are responsible for implementation, either directly or by coordinating the necessary help from the engineering team. Design Prioritization & Agility: Actively engage in the development process, rapidly responding to new requirements and changing priorities inherent in a fast-paced fintech startup environment. Qualifications Frontend Excellence & Execution: Proven ability to build any complex UI or experience in a responsive and timely manner. Deep knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and development best practices is expected. Design Acumen: Possess excellent design taste; you can improve existing designs, spot visual inconsistencies, and preemptively resolve UI/UX issues during implementation. User-Centric Mindset: A strong inclination towards UX/UI design principles and crafting solutions that solve complex user problems elegantly and efficiently. Adaptability & Ownership: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing business needs and technology landscapes while maintaining high ownership of the visual product.
