TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29425! Pay Information $1,824 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience in ECMO and CRRT preferred Description: This position involves working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit providing care to children ages 0-18. The unit offers both intensive and intermediate care for a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. Common conditions include respiratory compromise, trauma, and post-operative surgical care. Supportive therapies such as ECMO and CRRT are part of the care provided. The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries. Interdisciplinary support is available including Respiratory Therapy, Dietitians, and Pharmacists. Weekend and holiday shifts are required based on scheduling needs. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary between 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity. Flexibility to float within scope is required to meet facility needs. No on-call requirements. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
