TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 03801! Pay Information $2,273 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Telemetry Step-down Experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit consists of 23 beds and is staffed by a team of 9. Day shifts typically have 6-7 RNs and 2 aides. Night shifts generally have 6-7 RNs and 2 aides. Patient ratios are maintained at 4:1. The unit is equipped with bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, and subdural drains. The EMR system utilized in the unit is Meditech. Candidates must possess telemetry step-down experience. Neuro and trauma experience are preferred. Typical procedures performed include chest tubes and EEGs. A team-oriented personality is essential for success in this role. Required certifications include ACLS and BLS. Preferred certifications are NHISS and TNCC. Floating may occur to all inpatient units. There is a weekend requirement every other week, with no on-call responsibilities.
