TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Saint Joseph, Missouri, 64506! Pay Information $2,236 per week About The Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Pending license okay with submission, must be in-hand prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience required - Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 - Travel experience preferred - Charting experience required Description: Candidates must review all details of the position prior to submission. This position requires floating every three weekends over a six-week schedule. The patient population is diverse, but includes no burns, pediatrics, transplants, or ECMO cases. Scrubs can be any color and brand. The unit staffing provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Patient diagnoses are varied, with a daily census of 18. The unit has a total of 24 beds. Key skills required include managing ventilated patients, central line care, administration of blood products, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. The ability to assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, bronchoscopy, and dialysis catheter insertion is also necessary. Candidates should be proficient in monitoring and managing cardiac drips and vasoactive drips. This role involves caring for adults and geriatric patients with complex medical needs.
