Per Diem Radiology Tech

Responsibilities Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Per Diem Radiology Technologist utilizes equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes, following the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Equipment includes fluoroscopic and/or digital radiographic systems, and routine radiographic rooms using CR technology. Depending on location, the technologist may rotate through the ambulatory surgery center, supporting procedures using a radiographic C-arm or portable unit, and performing fluoroscopic exams as needed. Clerical processes are completed using the designated Radiology Information System (RIS), and images are archived using the designated PACS. Job Title: Per Diem Radiology Tech Location: The Vintage Department: Radiology – Administration Job Type: Per Diem Salary Range: $37.99 – $38.01/hr (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.) Qualifications Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology Preferred: Associate in Applied Science – Radiology Technology Experience Required: N/A Preferred: Minimum 1 year of clinical Radiology Technologist experience PACS and RIS experience License(s) Required: Eligible for ARRT(R) registry Graduate Technologist designation as defined by the Texas Medical Board Must attain ARRT(R) and MRT–General Certificate status within one year of eligibility OR ARRT(R) MRT–General Certificate BLS certification through American Heart Association Special Skills Required: Ability to use a computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition Preferred: N/A Other Required: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred: Bi-lingual or multi-lingual Working Environment: Office/Medical Clinic About Us Start your career journey and become a part of a community of renowned healthcare professionals.
