Pay Information $2,272 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year (Preferred 2 years) License: Must have a valid state license prior to starting Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry and cardiac/stroke experience. Experience with cardiac drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix. Ability to read, identify, and react to cardiac rhythms. Description: Position in the Intermediate Cardiac/Stroke unit. All nurses must pass a telemetry rhythm identification quiz. Understanding cardiac rhythms is crucial to patient safety. Shift requires working day hours from 07:00 to 19:30. Nurses will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:4. No call requirements are necessary. Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend. Candidates must have telemetry experience and manage cardiac drips without titration. Nurses will care for adults and geriatric patients, dealing with high acuity situations. The unit sees a variety of diagnoses, including telemetry, stroke, CHF, chest pain, and more. There will be interdisciplinary support available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Nurses should be familiar with various modes of oxygenation, excluding vents. Special equipment is available to assist with bedside procedures.
