TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Charlottesville, Virginia, 22903! Pay Information $1,990 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH stroke certification required Must-Have: Epic experience Description: The Neuro ICU is a critical care unit with 12 beds. It provides intensive management for patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Common cases include central nervous system tumors, complex spine surgery, acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, and endovascular interventions. Additional cases involve traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus, and central nervous system infections. The unit utilizes interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The typical daily census is around 10 patients. Staffing ratios are maintained at 2 patients per nurse during all shifts. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required. Candidates should be prepared to float within their scope of practice. Previous charge experience is preferred. Knowledge of infection prevention, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and care of ventilated patients is essential. This position is responsible for caring for patients undergoing complex neurological procedures and interventions. Nursing staff are expected to adhere to float policies and collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers.
