Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg - $1,942 per week in Fishersville, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Previous surgical experience required - Must be able to work every other weekend Description: Ratios of 1:6 patients. First-time travelers are accepted. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with the Meditech charting system is preferred. Fast-paced inpatient surgical unit requiring surgical experience. Cannot guarantee block scheduling, but shifts may be grouped together if available. Unit will accept pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above, depending on the surgical procedure. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and rapid response teams. Patient diagnoses include general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery. Work environment demands high adaptability and a collaborative approach. Fit testing is required; travelers must comply with the fit testing policy. A zero-tolerance policy for THC applies; medical marijuana cards are not accepted. All requests for time off must be included in documentation prior to the start of the assignment. Compliance requirements must be met prior to the start of the assignment.
