Project Manager – Mechanical & Electrical (Leisure Capital Programme – Local Authority) £267 p/day PAYE / £370 p/day Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35) 36 hours per week 6-month contract (with likely extension) We are currently seeking a Degree-qualified Mechanical Project Engineer to deliver part of the mechanical programme within a Leisure Capital Programme on behalf of a Local Authority. The role will also provide support to a separately funded capital improvement programme. Responsibilities: Oversee the delivery of mechanical projects within the Leisure Capital Programme. Provide professional support on the planning, design, and execution of mechanical works across capital improvement projects. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met. Ensure compliance with statutory and technical standards. Manage budgets, timelines, and reporting requirements. Requirements: Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Mechanical Engineer (MIMechE). Strong project management experience within Mechanical & Electrical disciplines. Experience delivering capital projects, ideally within public sector or leisure environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
