The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant As an SEN Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs. Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit individual pupil needs. Assist in promoting independence, confidence, and social skills. Support the class teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. Help manage behaviour in a supportive and consistent manner. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. About You To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you should have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential). A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive attitude and genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
