IT Security Engineer

IT Security Engineer Salary: Competitive salary range of £38,000 to £55,000 per year, depending on experience, aligned with current market rates for mid-range IT Security Engineers in Northern Ireland, plus a 10% quarterly bonus Working Arrangements: Hybrid role with remote work options; occasional on-site presence required based on project needs. Applicants need to be based in Northern Ireland or Midlands, England Work in a team of nine to ten engineers across first, second, and third levels, geographically dispersed across the UK and Ireland. The Role: Monitor and secure network infrastructure to prevent cyber threats. Conduct risk assessments and implement firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Secure Endpoints and Windows operating systems and cloud-based systems to ensure robust protection. Respond to security incidents and document mitigation steps. Develop and Enhance Overall Corporate Security Posture Deliver security solutions in a project-led environment with strong organizational skills. Work autonomously, prioritizing tasks while taking direction as needed. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations. Experience: 3-5 years of IT security experience. Proficiency with tools like Splunk, Wireshark, or Nessus. Deliver security solutions in a project-led environment with strong organizational skills.
