Commercial Real Estate/ Commercial Property Partner LONDON

Our client, a large commercial law firm in London, is seeking to recruit a Commercial Real Estate Partner and will ideally, amongst other things, have Retail experience. The team advises across a range of sectors acting for owners, investors, tenants, funds and developers as well as for local authorities and other charitable or public bodies. The successful candidate will have experience of the Retail sector (any experience of the food and beverage and/or leisure sectors would also be of interest) with experience of transactions involving shopping centres, factory outlets and mixed-use schemes. Recent matters the team has been involved with include: • Advising a pension fund on the forward purchase of two industrial warehouse schemes with a combined value of nearly £100 million • Advising a pension fund on the acquisition of a mixed-use investment (including residential) for circa £55 million • Advising on the development of a circa £80 million town centre regeneration mixed retail and leisure led scheme • Advising on the purchase of a shopping centre with development angles which involved a substantial due diligence exercise in relation to 70 retail and leisure occupiers.
