Job Title: Compliance Manager Salary: Up to £60k (Depending on Experience) Location: Blackburn (hybrid) This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading designer and manufacturer of electro-mechanical devices used in highly regulated industries. We're seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to take ownership of product and service compliance across a range of electro-mechanical devices. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring products meet international regulatory standards, to deliver innovative solutions to customers quickly and effectively. About the Role: Oversee ongoing audits, inspections, and certifications across company sites and products, ensuring all approvals are renewed on time. Stay up to date with evolving compliance requirements. Manage compliance for new product introductions by creating certification project plans, defining timelines and costs, and liaising with stakeholders. Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and H&S teams to ensure products are tested appropriately, standards are understood, and processes align with compliance requirements. Continuously improve compliance operations through technology, process improvements, and supplier engagement, supporting smoother and more efficient product certification and approvals. What We Need from You: Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years experience in a regulated industry. In-depth knowledge of CE/UKCA marking, EMC, RF, environmental, and safety testing regulations. Experience managing product certification processes, audits, and technical documentation. Ability to clearly translate and communicate technical standards for both internal and external stakeholders. Leadership to guide and delegate within cross-functional teams. Resilience and decisiveness to make informed compliance decisions under pressure. Familiarity with certifications such as INCERT or VdS. Strong digital skills including Microsoft Office, VBA/SQL scripting, and PowerBI. Please note, we cannotoffer sponsorship for the role. If interested, please send over an updated CV.
