Insurance Assistant

Position: Insurance Assistant Location: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid (4 times per week on-site)Salary: $55K Job Type: PermanentOur client, a boutique insurance brokerage, is seeking an Insurance Assistant to support the Commercial Lines team by providing attentive and effective client service while reinforcing and developing client/broker relationships.The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a brokerage (including co-op placements) or formal insurance education. If you have a background in personal lines and are looking to transition into commercial lines, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:- Issue certificates of insurance and submit to insurers and clients.- Issue automobile liability cards and distribute as directed.- Confirm auto insurance for new vehicles with dealerships and submit to insurers.- Send second requests and follow up with insurers on outstanding endorsements.- Review endorsements for discrepancies, consulting with practice specialists as needed, and request re-issuance for incorrect documents.- Respond to Lienholder/Lessor/Mortgagee requests for insurance copies.Qualifications:- RIBO license is a nice to have.- Previous insurance brokerage experience or insurance education is required. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and underwriting processes is an asset.This position offers an excellent entry point into the commercial insurance industry, with opportunities for growth and development.Apply today and submit your resume in word format to Meghan Melanson at meghan.melanson@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
