Financial Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Aurora, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating insightful reports, and supporting decision-making processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in advanced Excel tools, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:- Process and clean shipping reports using Power Query and advanced Excel functionalities.- Analyze inventory replenishment costs to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.- Develop and maintain financial reports utilizing Power Pivot, pivot tables, and other advanced Excel features.- Reconcile accounts related to shipping and inventory transactions to ensure accuracy.- Collaborate with operations and accounting teams to deliver accurate and timely financial data.- Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes and workflows.- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.- Leverage data mining techniques to extract meaningful insights for financial decision-making.- Proficiency in advanced Excel tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and pivot tables.- Experience with accounting software systems and financial reporting tools.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data.- Knowledge of data mining techniques to derive actionable insights.- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial planning.- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Experience using CRM systems and tools like Crystal Reports is an asset.- A background in finance or accounting with a solid understanding of accounting functions.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
