Job Description
Associate Director - Buy Side Investment Operations Contract and Interim Solutions role overview for Singapore-based buy-side investment operations. This position is a 12-month contract. Salary: up to $250,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. Buy-side experience within an Investment / Asset Management organization is essential. An operations background is also essential. This role is only open to those currently residing in Singapore. Overview of Role Review and refine the current scope and the role of investment operations management based on future operating model. Provide leadership and guidance to Investment Operations Lead and SMEs, defining the controls required to strengthen the end-to-end process, including integration with third-party vendor processes. Review and enhance the procedure manual of Ops team to ensure proper documentation and institutionalize knowledge. Identify key risk areas, make recommendations to mitigate risks, and propose new controls to create a more robust end-to-end process. Collaborate with key stakeholders including service providers to conduct impact assessments identifying the "as-is" processes, systems, and the "future" processes, systems and structures. Maintain relationships with stakeholders and obtain formal sign-off of all requirement documentation. Liaise with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions. Facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders to explore solution options and complete solution design documents based on recommendations. Contribute to project management processes, including status reporting, risk and issue log, change request assessment, and governance. Support Change Management activities by providing information required to facilitate effective communications. Facilitate discussions between service providers and third parties including Custodians and Counterparties to support the future operating model. Qualifications / Experience Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Minimum of 15 years in the asset management industry performing a similar role Working experience in major asset classes and associated analytics Strong knowledge spanning across asset classes, particularly derivatives, fixed income and equity markets Good understanding of Middle Office and Back Office outsourcing arrangements Experience with BlackRock Aladdin system is an advantage Job Details Seniority level: Director Employment type: Contract Job function: Consulting, Finance, and General Business Industries: Investment Management, Investment Banking, and Financial Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Argyll Scott.
