Overview Senior Director – Business Development/ Key Account Development – Logistics - APAC Due to our expansion, we are seeking a Senior Director who will lead the development of our accounts and grow them to become Key Accounts. In this role, the ideal candidate will engage with both general and key account BCOs to proactively sell end-to-end (E2E) products and showcase company capabilities. The role will operate across APAC markets, including those under active tenders, to identify opportunities for growth. The key objective is to increase customer spend, converting general accounts into key accounts which thereafter will be transitioned to the Key Accounts Team. Key Responsibilities Develop target account plans for APAC general account BCO, in conjunction with regional KAM & cluster BD team Identify & proactively pursue new logos for general account BCO, focusing on key verticals such as Technology, FMCG, Automotive, Industrial, and Perishables Ensure participation in tenders and RFQ lists where the company has a strong competitive position Drive revenue growth through single capability sales, multiple capability sales, or local end-to-end (E2E) solutions Remain updated on latest market trends and key competitors to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and industry challenges Customer Service, Growth and Retention Ensure smooth execution of client contracts and ongoing account management to maximize retention and growth opportunities Convert general accounts into key accounts by expanding engagement and increasing service adoption Resolve customer escalations in a timely manner, and identify opportunities to improve/enhance customer excellence measures Manage accounts receivables with company KPIs KAM Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Evaluation of incoming opportunities ensuring high hit rate in line with internal profitability targets Work closely with internal stakeholders, not limited to: Key Accounts team; operations; finance; technology; and cluster BD teams Collaborate on participation in events to increase brand awareness for BCOs in targeted verticals Qualifications, Experience and Skills Bachelor Degree/Masters in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent At least 15 years of relevant Business Development/hunter experience in Sales, Business Development or KAM Well versed in Logistics/3PL industry and familiar with Ocean freight and Contract Logistics Hunter mindset, demonstrated success in bringing on new logos and growing accounts across multiple products & trade lanes Experience in regional sales management, account management, field sales, both in transactional & value-based selling techniques Strong understanding of APAC trade lanes, customs regulations, and logistics infrastructure Customer centric philosophy, placing high value on service execution Collaborator, with excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive success across multiple teams and regions Data driven approach to problem-solving and trend analysis. Experience of new service identification & execution desirable Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to travel across the APAC region as needed to engage with customers Note Note : The job title in the advertisement serves the purpose of attracting talent and advertising the position.
