Plant Buyer in Melfi / foggia

Overview Barilla G. & R. F.lli wants to recruit a Plant Buyer within the Purchasing Consultancies, Outsourcing, Plants department. The individual will be based in Melfi or Foggia, Italy, and will report to the Senior Manager Purchasing Consultancies, Outsourcing, Plants. The role is accountable for specific category / ies within plants in Melfi and Foggia and, in particular is responsible to execute strategic sourcing, execute buying activities for plant purchases, promote and collect plant’s requirements, leverage on negotiation benefits and handle relationship with suppliers Key Accountabilities Design, in conjunction with the Senior Manager Purchasing Consultancies, Outsourcing, Plants, and execute a purchasing strategy for the goods and services he / she is in charge. Analyse the local contract market and scouting the local suppliers adopting of the correct supplier selection process Conduct negotiations and contracting as per defined purchasing guidelines Manage complaints : quantify damages, negotiate the compensations, follow-up etc. Perform supplier evaluation, handle supplier relationship and build sustainable supplier relationships that generate value for both Barilla and the supplier over time. Collect local data and information to address procurement guidelines and ensure process compliance. Provide insights on local requirements and the supplier market, identify any legal constraints for contract implementation and support the headquarter in the collection requirements / specifications Qualifications Working experience in the field of purchasing, procurement and negotiations Degree in Engineering is a plus Willing to travel in Italy up to 50% of the time Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities A structured, independent and pro-active way of working and a lot of flexibility Very good analytical and organizantional skills Proficiency in MS-Excel and SAP At least upper intermediate level of Italian language Intermediate level of English language Work location: Melfi or Foggia J-18808-Ljbffr
