Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- The High School Instructor is present in a regular classroom setting, monitoring online instruction in high school diploma classes.
- Facilitates completion of online high school diploma classes
- Supports students in communication with online instructors
- Establish a high degree of student/instructor rapport and create a positive atmosphere to promote student engagement
- Maintain a high degree of accountability within the classroom
- Document student attendance, performance, progress, and behavior
- Maintain adequate classroom cleanliness
- Effectively relate to the student population and recognize student success in the classroom
- Adhere to all data integrity measures related to classroom instruction and testing
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Education. State certification is required.
Preferred: One year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth.
Knowledge Required: Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.
