Job Description Job Description Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Travel Position Location: Waukesha, WI Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Pay: $2,368/week Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Waukesha, WI. The Med Surg Nurse will care for patients with diverse medical and post-surgical needs, providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal c Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care including assessments, monitoring, and implementation of care plans. Administer medications, IV therapies, and wound care according to physician orders. Monitor and document patient status, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care. Respond to patient emergencies and provide interventions as required. Maintain compliance with hospital safety, quality, and infection control policies. Qualifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin (or compact license). Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing). Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Current certification in Basic Life Support. COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test. Strong critical thinking, clinical, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to a busy and diverse patient environment.
