Warehouse Lead - 2nd Shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Job Description Job Description The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and adherence to safety protocols. This role serves as the primary liaison between warehouse staff, management, and other departments to maintain smooth workflow and operational excellence. This position is for 2nd shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Primary Responsibilities: Leadership & Supervision Supervise and coordinate activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment. Act as the first point of contact for resolving operational issues and conflicts. Operations Management Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory counts. Maintain organized warehouse layout and proper stock rotation. Inventory Control Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to address shortages or overstock issues. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory data. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety standards and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct safety checks on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process optimization to increase efficiency. Recommend equipment or technology upgrades. Participate in and lead lean initiatives or warehouse improvement projects. Skills & Qualifications: Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 3 years in a warehouse or distribution environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
