HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER WORKING DAYS OR NIGHTS BETWEEN MONDAY TO SUNDAY DAYS: 08:00 STARTS NIGHTS: 19:00 STARTS £17.00 - £20.00 PER HOUR People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Wolverhampton, WEST MIDLANDS. Benefits As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly rates Weekly pay Site canteen Immediate starts Employee Well-being Program Rates of Pay Monday to Friday £17.00 per hour Saturday £19.00 per hour Sunday £20.00 per hour Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side) Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Being able to drive a LST trailer Essential Skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Be able to drive an LST trailer Desirable Experience Experience driving any commercial vehicles Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Contact This client values its workers and provides an excellent work environment If you are looking for high-paying, reliable work, click below to apply today or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge any of our candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
