Pay Information $2,298 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Level I Trauma experience - Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - Strong IV skills required - Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The nurse will manage a high acuity patient population. The bed count is 24 in the specialized unit. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2, with a high number of 1:1 assignments. The nurse will utilize an electronic medical record system for documentation. Full-time staff are supported by nurse aides and patient care technicians on duty. The nurse will be expected to float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac surgery recovery, lung transplants, and various other cardiac conditions. The position requires working three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule. Holidays will be included in the rotation. High-level skills in patient management and bedside procedures are essential for this role. Travelers with experience in certain cardiac interventions will be prioritized. Cancellation policies allow for up to four shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
