Certified Peer Specialist

At WISCS.org, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing peer support services to individuals with mental health conditions, substance use challenges, or traumatic experiences. You will be a beacon of hope and empowerment, fostering a supportive environment to help peers achieve personal wellness and recovery goals. Your role will directly contribute to our commitment to enhance public welfare and social justice by harnessing the power of shared experiences to promote recovery and resilience. Provide direct peer support to individuals in recovery from mental health conditions, substance use, or trauma. Facilitate group sessions and workshops to promote wellness and recovery. Assist peers in developing effective coping skills and recovery plans. Advocate for the needs and rights of peers in various service settings. Maintain comprehensive documentation of interactions and services provided to peers. Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and services. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
