Heavy Civil Superintendent

Job Description Job Description Join an Industry-Leading Civil Contractor! We are seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Superintendent to manage high-impact projects across central Alabama. Projects span from state road improvements to private development projects. If Key Responsibilities: Interpret civil drawings and plans. Develop and manage daily and long-term work schedules. Lead and mentor small to large construction crews. Instill a strong safety culture in field operations. Maintain clear communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. Ensure project milestones and budgets are met. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction. Proven experience as a Superintendent on bridge projects is a plus ALDOT (Alabama Department of Transportation) experience preferred. Proficiency in construction software. Strong knowledge of civil construction processes. Understanding of: Quality control and cost control processes. Job site safety standards. Construction industry standards and best practices. Ability to read blueprints and interpret instructions accurately. Solid math, analytical, and communication skills. Commitment to mentoring crews and working alongside them on-site. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
