In this pivotal role, you will support site management to ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, lead health and safety initiatives, and promote a positive safety culture across the site. Why You'll Love This Role Play a key role in creating a safe and healthy work environment at a leading manufacturing site Lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives that make a tangible impact Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive HSE culture Collaborate with site leadership and diverse teams to ensure compliance and best practices Develop your expertise in a supportive and proactive work environment What You'll Do Ensure site compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and company policies Coordinate and review risk assessments and method statements, ensuring effective control measures are in place Lead health and safety initiatives, including accident prevention and proactive risk management Conduct audits and inspections to monitor HSE management system effectiveness and implement corrective actions Investigate accidents and near misses, ensuring appropriate preventative measures are applied Manage incident reporting and maintain accurate records of safety performance metrics Develop and maintain emergency response teams, including fire wardens and first aid support Promote safety awareness through regular engagement activities such as toolbox talks and safety programs Support environmental compliance efforts, including waste reduction and resource conservation initiatives Collaborate with site leadership and cross-functional teams to foster a positive HSE culture and continuous improvement What You'll Bring Experience in a health, safety, and environmental role within a manufacturing environment Comprehensive knowledge of UK HSE legislative requirements and best practices NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 in Health & Safety preferred Registered with a professional body such as IOSH Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Proactive problem solver with excellent attention to detail Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to promoting a positive HSE culture Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs and drive continuous improvement Ready to Apply?
