Computer Engineer

Our client, a market-leading manufacturer in their sector, is looking to recruit a Computer Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing 1st and 2nd line support to around 500 internal users across a wide range of IT systems and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1st and 2nd line support for both hardware and software issues Troubleshoot and resolve problems with PCs, servers, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and networks Support Windows-based environments and manufacturing-specific IT systems Collaborate with 1st and 3rd line teams to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset registers and user guides Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and rollouts Support network infrastructure including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection policies What We're Looking For: Experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support roles Strong troubleshooting skills with PCs, laptops, printers, and barcode scanners Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Exposure to manufacturing or industrial IT systems (highly desirable) Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving You’ll be joining a close-knit IT team that values collaboration and career progression.
