Locum Ward Manager - Neurological Centre £50 p/h 3 flexible days per week Located in York Are you a Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse looking to step up? Essential: Demonstrate experience and good knowledge of experience of working within the Mental Health Act An RMN/RNLD nursing qualification. Experience of managing a ward or large staff team effectively to meet the needs of the post fully The experience and ability to lead, manage and inspire a team. Proven experience of managing complex and diverse care/rehabilitation services. Responsibilities: Provide clinical and operational leadership, acting as a role model to ensure evidence-based, person-centred care and positive outcomes for the people supported. Oversee admission and discharge planning, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care across multidisciplinary teams. Lead on staff management, including recruitment, retention, rostering, and supporting professional development through training, supervision, and reflective practice. Maintain the highest standards of care, implementing risk management strategies, safeguarding procedures, and promoting a culture of safety and accountability. Foster a learning environment that encourages reflective practice, continuous improvement, and adherence to regulatory standards.
