Damp and Mould Operative / Damp & Mould Repairs Technician Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (field based) Salary £32,651.20 per annum plus company van, fuel card and power tools Permanent, Full Time 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) Thrive Homes are looking for dedicated Damp and Mould Operatives to join our Property Services team. This role is vital to ensuring our properties are well maintained and our tenants live in healthy environments. As a Damp and Mould Operative, you will play a key part in the delivery of maintenance services across Thrive Homes’ properties and those of other clients. You will work primarily to resolve damp and mould issues and carry out related maintenance tasks in line with company procedures, legal standards, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out repairs and maintenance work relating to damp and mould in occupied and vacant properties. * Follow all policies and procedures to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. * Support the delivery of a competitive, cost-effective repairs service across various types of works including day-to-day maintenance, void refurbishments, cyclical and servicing work. * Meet performance targets by completing tasks on time and to the required quality standard. * Take responsibility for your own health and safety and ensure the safety of colleagues and residents. * Complete minor maintenance tasks including first-line plumbing, carpentry, and plastering where required. * Perform duties in a semi-skilled labouring role, adapting to a variety of work demands. * Undertake any other reasonable duties or projects as required by management. What We’re Looking For: * Experience in building maintenance, particularly in addressing damp and mould issues. * Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, and plastering. * A proactive, safety-first approach with strong attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication and time management skills. Due to the nature of the role, you will hold a Full driving licence for use in the UK.
