MOD physical security advisor

We are seeking a Specialist Security Advisor (SSA) to lead and support high-priority projects. Role Overview As SSA, you will provide expert advice, manage security workstreams, and define operational requirements to embed robust security measures into project designs. You’ll work across disciplines including physical, electronic, and force protection security, ensuring a “Secure by Design” approach from concept to delivery. Key Responsibilities Specialist Advice: Provide guidance across disciplines such as: Protection Against Weapons Effects Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) Electronic Security Systems Force Protection Engineering Project Management: Lead security workstreams, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of security requirements. Requirements Setting: Translate operational needs into technical specifications and facilitate stakeholder workshops. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary security contact, build relationships, and communicate complex concepts clearly. Knowledge Transfer: Develop training materials and deliver sessions to build internal capability and foster a security-conscious culture. Candidate Requirements Proven project management experience. Strong skills in translating operational needs into technical requirements. Expertise in one or more security disciplines. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Collaborative mindset and problem-solving ability.
